Leader's meeting- Explore, expand and improve yourself
Within the framework of the Project “Explore, expand and improve yourself” the organization BEES hosted an Advanced Planning Visit from 15-18 November in Vienna, Austria. Leaders of seven different NGOs (Youth Empowerment in a European Society, European Youth Organization, Red Cross, Warm Hand Association, Batman Fen Lisesi Menzulari Dernegi, Eurocaleta and BEES) from seven European countries (Slovakia, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Turkey, Spain and Austria) came together to discuss the main goals, activities and the methods of dissemination process of the upcoming project in January. During those three days the leaders set up various measures in order to ensure a high-quality, non-formal learning methods for participants, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of the project among the youth in Europe.
The main goals of the project are:
to invite young people to explore their learning styles, their strengths, talents and their potential,
raise their awareness of who they are and what they are capable of,
to contribute to young people's personal development and expand their professional opportunities,
to help them to set up learning and career goals by creating a safe atmosphere for non-formal learning,
to develop participants' life-long learning competencies, self-awareness and promote active and creative participation of young people in processes and events around them.
Program includes ice-breakers, team building, team cooperation exercises, outdoor activities, problem solving initiatives, dance theater, visual art activities, work with body and movements, collage, role-playing, group work, brainstorming and debating, quizzes, the use of materials to create alternative methods of presenting, exercises aimed at developing emphatic attitudes towards others. Special attention will be paid to reflection on individual experiences.
