Yes, we KNOW IT! Our participants had the opportunity to attend a training course Youth Academy (30.03-07.04.2017) which was held in Berlin in order to improve and enhance the capacities of the organizations and to train young people for the future youth work within the Erasmus program plus!
"Youth Academy2017" is a training course which took place from 30th March to 7th April 2017 in Berlin, Germany. The aim of the project "Youth Academy2017" was to support the quality development of non-formal education activities in the youth work through the development of competences of youth workers for preparing and implementing workshops, trainings, seminars and similar activities organized for youth on local and international level with special focus on human rights and minority issues.
With this project, we trained youth workers to be able to initiate, develop, prepare, run and evaluate an independent non-formal education youth activity and be able to include in it specific target group of young people with minority backgrounds.
Training trainers is important for capacity of organizations and their programs, taking in consideration that trainers are people with experience in certain field with competences to share that experience with other people. Training youth workers to become trainers is raising capacity not only of individuals, but their organizations, communities and society in general. The objective of this training course was to provide learning opportunity in an intercultural setting for youth workers interested to gain competences for being trainers in workshops, trainings, seminars and similar activities organized for youth on local and international level on various topics according to the specific needs of their target groups of youngsters and needs of community and society in general. In cooperation with our partners, based on needs of youth organizations across Europe, we shared our knowledge and experiences on cooperative learning and its techniques and structures and adapted it into youth work with our diverse target groups in order to provide innovative, efficient and effective youth non-formal education activities on competence, knowledge and attitudes development.
