Intercultural Evening!
Intercultural evenings were so much fun! Two evenings in a row participants had opportunity to present their cultures and countries to eachother.
On the first night, seven delegations held presentations on their home countries in creative ways- some played videos, others engaged the audience with quizzes and prizes to win. But hey, that’s not all! Everyone had a unique opportunity to try out traditional food specialties- from sweet to salty, one bite after the another! Who wouldn’t be in a great mood after full tummy? :D
Bosnian team taught us some basic words in their mother tongue- I love you, Vienna and sorry. The person who could repeat all these words in the original language could get a football dress! And guess what, our new friend Florian from Albania, perfectly repeated all three words! Congrats!
Team from Turkey showed us amazingly colorful and diverse city Istanbul. Serbian team made an association game, and the winners, the Austrian team, got lots of sweets from Serbia. Slovak delegation made a short quiz at the end of their presentation to check who was paying attention. Spanish group gave us insights to Spanish Christmas and fun New Year´s countdown tradition with 12 grapes. Albanian team shared with us the secret recognizing sign for Albanians in a bird shape. And the Austrian team talked about typical food, customs and regions of Austria. Time-lapse video of Viennese well-known sightseeing destinations was a must. We stopped the video couple of times to check how well our friends recognize the locations. Every time someone knew the correct answer! Bravo!
On the second night, teams went dancing to songs from all participating countries! While the songs were playing, others were trying to guess, which song comes from which country. Learning how to dance Macarena, samba and bachata was so much fun!
it wasn’t a coincidence we had international events precisely now. If you followed us so far, you can guess that it had to do something with Interpersonal Intelligence we worked on the day of the party ;)
Stay curious, stay connected!
